Bombay College of Pharmacy (BCP) is a pioneering institution in Pharmaceutical education in India. BCP was founded in 1957 by the Indian Pharmaceutical Association - Maharashtra State Branch (IPA-MSB) with financial assistance from the Government of Maharashtra and several pharmaceutical corporations. Since its inception as a college offering a Diploma in Pharmacy, the college has grown in stature and at present offers Bachelors, Masters, and Doctoral programs of study in Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Mission
Mission of the Bombay College of Pharmacy is to educate and train students in the knowledge of Pharmaceutical Sciences and to contribute to improvement of health of the society through educational and research programmes.BCP is located close to the University of Mumbai, Kalina Campus. It is about 5 and 12 km from the domestic and international airports respectively. It is about 2.5 km from both Kurla and Santacruz railway stations and is easily reached by public transport from the central, western and Navi Mumbai suburbs.BCP has produced more than 1500 Pharmacists and 300 M. Pharm and 170 PhD graduates. Many of the BCP alumni now hold prominent positions in industry and academia both in India and abroad. Several faculty members have received teaching and research awards from All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), University Grants Commission (UGC), the Council of Scientific and Industrial research (CSIR), Department of Science and Technology (DST), Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) and the corporate sector. BCP has well equipped laboratories, the Dr. M. K. Rangnekar drug testing and training laboratory, state of the art equipment, instruments, internet facilities and an excellent library. BCP encourages and undertakes collaborative projects with industries and academia. More than 300 industry sponsored projects have been completed. In fact, recently (2014) BCP has been recognized as Best Industry Linked Institute in Pharmacy field by AICTE-IIC cell.
Lecture Room
An inspiring aura adds that tinge to the learning experience. The institute has spacious and well sourced lecture rooms to meet the requirements.
Library
A vast source of information is a must requirement of an educational institute and an extensive library serves the purpose right. It is widely apportioned into two sections- one that provides numerous reference books for each class. Each section is well-sourced with encyclopedias, dictionaries, editorials, dailies, latest.
Seminar Hall
The seminar halls of the institute are equipped with all necessary amenities of public address system viz. LCD, Microphone, Overhead projectors, etc.
IT Lab
Information technology has a vital role to play in the education system. IT has become the base for many careers and is a must requirement. The institute is well-equipped with advance techno-lab to cater to such needs.
Science Lab
The institute has very structured science laboratories with all the scientific equipments that facilitates the research and development on various subjects.
Work Experience Room
The work experience lab serves the alternative learning and acts as a good source of stress busters. It is well equipped with working tools like gardener’s tool, working Hand tool, Pot culture, etc.
Audio-Visual Room
The institution possesses a well-equipped Audio-Visual room. The A.V. room also maintains a good collection of educational movies to supplement classroom teaching to bring the entire world to the child at his doorstep. The A.V. room has a manager throughout the day to assist the teachers and the students as well.
Gymnasium
The institution gives equal importance to the health and fitness of each child. The Gym is open throughout the day and a full- time physical trainer imparts proper training & guidance to the students.
Well Equipped Playground
The Playground is equipped with various amenities for outdoor games. Outdoor activities are encouraged so as to enhance the physical & mental fitness of the child in today’s stressful world. A sane Body, Mind & Intellect signifies sound health. Hence, we lay a lot of emphasis on both indoor & outdoor activities since they compliment each other for the overall outlook of the child.
The placement at Bombay College of Pharmacy actively bridges the gap between the students and corporate organizations. The institute’s Placement Cell functions under the supervision of Dr. (Mrs.) Premlata K. Ambre, and operates all around the year to arrange campus interviews by the industries.The Cell acts as a contact point for all Pharma and Non-Pharma Industries that wish to select students from Bombay College of Pharmacy. It expedites the whole process from collecting resumes, Telephone numbers and e-mails from the students and forwarding it to HR department of interested Pharma/Non-pharma Industries. Further it organizes Pre-placement talks (PPT) by companies for information about the company profile, job description and the package and finally helps the industries to conduct the induction process in the campus.
B.Pharma, B.Pharma Lateral Entry, M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Analysis, M.Pharma Pharmaceutics, M.Pharma Pharmaceutical Chemistry, M.Pharma Pharmacology and Phytochemistry, M.Pharma Pharmacology and Toxicology are offered for Bombay College of Pharmacy admissions. A total of 7 courses are offered by the institute. Bombay College of Pharmacy UG courses are B.Pharma, B.Pharma Lateral Entry.
