Andhra University Admissions:

Andhra University Admission is done on the basis of the state-level or university-level entrance examinations. Candidates who successfully qualify the exam and score the minimum required marks are considered for admission. 

Andhra University Distance Education:

AU SDE (Andhra University School of Distance Education) was started in 1972 by Andhra University. It has the 23 permanent faculties. The school of distance education presently offering 4 UG Programs, 18 PG Programs, 5 Certification Courses, and 9 PG Diploma Courses, 15 Professional Courses, and 7 Collaborative Courses through the Distance Education Mode. 

Andhra University Results:

The University conducts Semester examinations for its UG and PG courses under the University teaching departments and affiliated colleges in the month of the July every year. In order to check the course-wise semester results, candidates have to follow the below-mentioned steps:

Andhra University is not the just one of the oldest educational institutions in the country but is also the first to be conceived as a residential and teaching-cum-affiliating University, mainly devoted to post-graduate teaching and research. 

The people of the State have an emotional attachment to the institution since it came into being after the prolonged and collective struggle of the Telugu elite for the University in the educationally backward northern Circars and the Ceded districts of the erstwhile Madras Presidency. 

Andhra University was constituted in the year 1926 by the Madras Act of the 1926. The 97 years old institution is fortunate to have the Sir C.R. Reddy as its founder and Vice-Chancellor, as the steps taken by this visionary proved to be the fruitful in the long run. 

The AU result for each semester is prepared on the basis of the performance of the candidates in the mid-term and end-term exams. The end-term result of the odd semesters of all the UG and PG programs is declared in the month of January and the even semester result is announced in May or June. All the results are published only through online mode.

Andhra University PhD Course Admission Procedure

* Students will be selected on the basis of the Andhra University Research Common Entrance Exam AURCET. The exam, for each subject or department, consists of two papers with multiple choice objective type questions.

* Paper-I shall be of 45 minutes duration with 50 multiple-choice questions (MCQ)for 50 marks. Paper-I is common for all Science and Engineering Subjects or Departments as the case may be. Similarly, there is a common Paper 1 for all Arts Subjects or Departments for 50 marks with 45 minutes duration. Paper-I of Science stream is different from Paper-I of Arts stream.

* Paper-II shall be of 90 minutes of duration with 100 multiple-choice questions (MCQ)for 100 marks in the concerned subjects for which the syllabus are given on A.U. official website. Paper-II will be different for each subject.

* Exemptions: Candidates will be exempted from giving the test if they have qualified any of the following: CSIR-UGC-NET, APSET, RGNF, ICMR, Project Fellowship, and M.Phil.
