Degree College, Venkatagiri was set up on sixteenth August 1968 under private administration as Aided College.Later the school was taken over by the Government of Andhra Pradesh on 26th November 1977.It is associated to Vikram Simhapuri University, Nellore.This school had acknowledgment under 2(f) and 12(b) of the U.G.C Act since 1968.
