SOS J.N. Kaul institute of Education, Bhimtal is a Community project of SOS Children’s Village of India. The Institute came into existence by the sincere and praiseworthy efforts of Padamshree Shri J. N. Kaul, President SOS Children’s Village of India in the year 2004. It is approved by NCTE and is affiliated to Kumaun University, Nainital. The University has been awarded grade ‘A’ by the National Assessment and Accreditation Council (NAAC). Since there was no B.Ed. College anywhere in the adjoining areas so as a need to fulfill the requirements of students who wish to opt for teaching as a profession & career, J. N. Kaul Institute of education was opened in 2005.

Library : The college consists of a huge library with a large collection of books, magazines, and journals.
Laboratories : The college has fully equipped labs of nursing with sufficient space for a batch of 70 students. The laboratories include demonstrations on beds and articles to practice different Nursing procedures.
I.T Infrastructure : The college has well well-equipped Computer Lab with the latest Computers and printers and with a high-speed internet facility. We encourage students to learn more about technology as it helps them in their nursing careers.
Auditorium : The College also consists of a large Auditorium, a Multipurpose Hall, and a Common Room for various events and activities. The hall and auditorium are equipped with all the facilities needed to cater to the talent of students.
Classrooms : There are many classrooms with a sitting capacity of more than 70 students in each classroom. The rooms are spacious and airy so the students feel comfortable and can concentrate on their studies.
Girls Hostel : The College has the facilities of a separate girls' hostel with all the facilities near the College.
Sports : The college has sports facilities for all students.
Cafeteria : The college has a canteen facility for staff and students.
Medical/Hospital : The college has a health center with a first aid facility for the students.
Guest Room/Waiting Room : The college has a guest house/waiting room facility for visiting faculty and student family members.

Eligible students have to appear and qualify the entrance examination conducted by the SOS J.N. Kaul Institute of Education .
Students will be selected on the basis of their performance in the entrance examination and the qualifying examination.
Final selection will be done after document verification and the SOS J.N. Kaul Institute of Education , Nainital fee payment process.
