Government Residential Women’s Polytechnic College, Payyanur was established under World Bank Assisted Technician Education Project (WBATEP) in 1991. It is a government Polytechnic under Directorate of technical Education. Electronics & Communication, Instrumentation Engineering, Computer Engineering and Computer Application & Business Management are the four emerging Diploma level programmes offered in this Institution.

This institute has been catering to the industry by providing high quality technician manpower and offering sustainable development to the nearby villages through its initiatives like Community Development Through Polytechnic Scheme, sponsored by the Skill Development Ministry, Government of India.

Admission Process of Residential Women's Polytechnic College

The polytechnic admits both boys and girls. Reservation will be made as per the norms prescribed by the Government of Tamil Nadu. Admission of students under All India Quota and Orthopedically Handicapped are being done under DOTE's special permission.

The Application form can be purchased from the institution's office by paying an amount of Rs.150/-(Rupees One Hundred and Fifty Only) The applications are free of cost for SC/ST candidates, provided the scanned copy of the Community Certificate should be uploaded.

Passed 10+2 Examination with Physics / Mathematics / Chemistry / Computer Science / Electronics / Information Technology / Biology / Informatics Practices / Biotechnology / Technical Vocational Subject / Agriculture / Engineering Graphics / Business Studies / Entrepreneurship(Any of the Three) (or) 10th + 2 years ITI.As per the AICTE Approval Process Hand Book 2021-22 Vide Page 117 Item (iii), the Diploma holders can join B.E. (Lateral Entry) in any discipline irrespective of any branch studied in the Diploma programme.

The eligibility for students for campus placements in 3rd year. the companies are titanium and Infosys. the company offered 5 to 10 lack leaser annum. the percentage of getting placements is an average 48%. my plans to step on a higer diagree.

Every year our college arranges placement for all final year students. And lots of students are placed in higher companies. And the placement system working very well. Every year 90 percent of students were placed in good reputed companies. The final year students are willing to attend a campus interview. Jockey, Ramaraj, Himatsingha, Loyal textile. Etc. The highest package value is 500000per annum. There is a 100% of students getting placement every year. My plan is to go to a higher level. Thiagrajar polytechnic College students 90% placement in after degree. Thiagrajar polytechnic College partnership in multilevel companies. Starting celery in 15000 to 50000 first month celery in after degree.
