Government Model Polytechnic College - GMPC, Kozhikode is the mind offspring of intitute of Human Resources Development ( I H R D ) set up by the Govt. of Kerala in the year 1988,whose principle goal is to work as an impetus to cultivate the development of hardware ,PC and specific feilds, for example, Medical Electronics toss a plenty of creative undertakings. 

The Polytechnic College offers multi year Diploma cource in applied gadgets, Computer equipment maintanance and Medical Electronics,the courses being perceived by the PSC.The foundation has been authorize by the National Board of Aaccreditation (NBA) of the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) New Delhi.
