Bharathkumar, who serves as the Trust’s Chairman and is a renowned philanthropist in the region.Recognizing the significance of technical education for women, the Mahendra Educational Trust inaugurated their first college exclusively for women, Mahendra Engineering College for Women, in 2008. The college is located in Kumaramangalam, Tiruchengode, Namakkal District. It holds approval from AICTE (All India Council for Technical Education) and is affiliated with Anna University Chennai. The Mahendra Engineering College for Women has established the Central Library in 2008. The Library housed in a vast area of 800 Sq/m with fully Air Conditioned. The main aim of the library is to provide right source to the right user at the right time. Besides, the Library has a huge collection of Books, Journals, Magazines, Newspapers, Project documents, Back volumes, CDs, and DVDs in the field of Engineering and Technology, Management, Science and Humanities offers library services through its various divisions.MECW Library consists of a Central Library and Departmental Libraries which collectively support teaching, research and extension programmes of the Institute. All students, faculty members of the Institute are entitled to make use of the Library facilities on taking library membership.

Hostel

Mahendra Engineering College for Women has well-furnished hostel for girls. Hostel is facilitated with single, double bed and dormitory, hot and cold purified drinking water, 24 hour power backup, communication and entertainment, indoor games like Chess, Carom and modern Gym, outdoor games such as cricket, volleyball, common reading room, dining hall and medical facilities. The mess is functioning on dividing system. Nutritious and Hygienic food is provided on the basis of students need.

Canteen

The College has a spacious and airy Canteen. It provides a variety of wholesome, tasty snacks and food at a reasonable price. The Canteen also provides packaged snacks items, bakery products, soft drinks to the taste and requirements of not only the students but also the staff members. Grievance Redressal Cell

The objective of the Grievance Cell is to develop an approachable and accountable attitude among all the stakeholders in order to maintain a harmonious educational atmosphere in the institute.Mechanism and composition of grievance redressal system:A grievance redressal committee will review all cases and will act accordingly as per the Management policy.The report of grievance committee is forwarded to the Principal for further actionThe corrective measures are taken and recorded in the register.

Anti-ragging Cell consists of Principal, heads of the department, Deputy Warden and member from Police Station.Takes adequate measures for prevention of ragging.Provides the awareness for the students about the severity of punishments and the consequences likely to be imposed as per the government order.The Anti-Ragging Cell shall take an appropriate decision, with regard to punishment or otherwise, depending on the facts of each incident of ragging and nature and gravity of the incident of ragging.
