Stella Matutina (Morning Star) College of Education beneath the Management of the Franciscan Sisters of the Presentation of Our woman was established in July 1961. the faculty offers B.Ed., M.Ed., M. pH scaleil and Ph.D. Degree courses. the faculty has been bestowed Autonomous standing in 2005. However, it continues to be associate degree attached College of TamilNadu academics Education University and is autonomous within the sense that it's liberated to frame its own courses of study and to adopt innovative ways of teaching and analysis. the faculty has been authorized the 5 star level by the National Assessment and enfranchisement Council (NAAC) in Apr 2000, re-accredited at Grade ‘A’ level in 2007 and re-accredited (Third Cycle) at ‘A’ Grade with CGPA: three.48 in Dec 2014.
National Council of Teacher Education (NCTE) has increased the length of the B.Ed and M.Ed. Courses to 2 tutorial years from 2015 – 2016. the faculty has been given due approval by NCTE for a B.Ed intake of two hundred students and M.Ed intake of fifty students from the tutorial year 2015 – sixteen.
