Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture, Palani was founded by Arulmigu Dhandayuthapaniswami Thirukoil, Palani in 1963. The birth of this institution marked not only the fulfillment of a long felt need but also a great step forward in the upliftment of the educational status of this part of Dindigul District. Thanks to the remarkable zeal evinced by the Trustees of the Thirukoil and the high moral support extended to them by the then Chief Minister, Thiru. M .Bakthavachalam, as well as by outstanding educationists like Dr.A.Lakshmanasamy Mudaliar and Rao Sahib Captain Dr. D.Sivasubramania Mudaliar, that the College took shape much faster than expected and within a year it became a full - fledged First Grade College affiliated to Madras University. The College was affiliated to Dindigul Kamaraj University in 1969, The institution has now come into its own as a First Grade College of mighty proportions. The College offer UG Degree Courses in eleven subjects and Post Graduate courses in ten subjects besides M.Phil and Ph.D. in some disciplines.

AUDITORIUM

A 800 seater auditorium built to emulate high standards serves as a platform for hosting Symposiums, National and International level Conferences and inter/intra collegiate cultural performances. Various plays, cultural events and competitions are organised in the auditorium. It is well equipped with high quality audio surrounding system.

CLASS ROOM

The classrooms are airy and spacious. They are fully furnished with desks, benches, lights and fans. They are properly maintained providing a clean and healthy environment.

LABORATORIES

The college has well equipped laboratories for each and every science department. Five Under-graduate laboratories, Five Post-graduate laboratories, two Research Laboratories and three Computer Laboratories are fully equipped with modern instruments to experience the research environment. Arulmigu Palaniandavar College of Arts and Culture launched the Placement cell in 1993. This cell aims at providing guidance and counseling to the students regarding various traditional and job oriented courses, different kinds of competitive examinations, identifying job opportunities in the current market trend and employability in public and private sectors.The Placement Cell plays a crucial role in locating job opportunities for Under Graduates and Post Graduates passing out from the college by keeping in touch with reputed firms and industrial establishments. The Placement Cell operates round the year to facilitate contacts between employer and graduates. Free coaching for Banking Service Recruitment examination and IAS exams are being conducted regularly. Materials for competitive exams and model questions with answers are provided. The Placement Cell also organizes career guidance programmes for all the students since first year.
