S. P. D. M. Arts, S. B. B. and S. H. D. Commerce and S. M. A. Science College, Shirpur is established in 1962 by Kisan Vidya Prasarak Sanstha. Shirpur is one of the rurala and tribal tehasils of Maharashtra, having population of 78,000 and majority of it is socially and economically backward of the society. It is situated on Mumbai – Agra National Highway No. 3 and on the bank of Arunawati River. It is 60 km. away from the district place and is well connected by highways and railways. The nearby railway stations are Amalner, Nandurbar (WR), Bhusawal, Jalgaon, and Chalisgaon (CR). Indore (MP) and Aurangabad (MS) airports are within the range of 200 k.m. from Shirpur.Various renowned personalities visited the Sanstha among them Hon’ble Yashwantrao Chavan, Hon’ble Shushilkumar Shinde, Hon’ble Sudhakarrao Naik, Hon’ble Vasant Dada Patil, Hon’ble Dr. Shriram Lagoo, Hon’ble Dr. Narendra Dabholkar, Hon’ble Justice Chandrashekhar Dharmadhikari, Hon’ble Justice Narendra Chapalgaonkar, Hon’ble V.V. Shirwadkar, Hon’ble Baba Aamte, Hon’ble N. D. Mahanor, Hon’ble Najma Heptulla. The legacy is continued with full spirit by the dynamic and young President of the Sanstha Hon’ble Tusharji Vishwasrao Randhe and other directors of management.The College has been started with a vision to bring the students from rural and tribal area mainstream of higher education. The college has a separate library building. To make the library more learner-centric and user-friendly the institution has nominated a library committee. The committee recommends and monitors the procurement of the latest books, journals, and newspapers.
Sports
The college has large playing fields about 6-acres, which fulfills the needs of all outdoor sports events. Facilities for indoor games are also provided. The enthusiastic sporting environment has produced wonderful sportsmen in different games and won medals. The number of boys and girls, who have benefited from these sports facilities, is indeed very large.
Alumni Associations
The College alumni association has been constituted in 2002. The association had always been at the forefront of various activities and events organized by the institution. Institute has registered alumni association to create and maintain a lifelong connection between the institute and its alumni.
Girls Hostel
The college has well-equipped ladies hostels. The hostel building is situated in the college campus. Accommodation for 150 girls is available in the ladies' hostel. Hostel admission is given on a merit basis. Repeaters are not admitted in hostel. Few seats are reserved for students belonging to scheduled caste and scheduled tribes. Our college provides a good placement for the computer branch. You have to clear your all subjects then and then you are eligible for placement. Our college provides about 3.5 to 4.5 lakhs per anum. Near about 80 percent of students get an offer and 60 to 65 accept the offer letter. Having a good job with at least 10 lakhs per anum will be great for me and for my family.
The students are eligible from the sixth semester for the placements. Companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Capgemini, and many companies will be coming to the place students. The highest package of the college is 20lakh per year. An average package is 3.5 lakhs. Above 75 percent of students were placed at the time of placement.
Students appeared for placement in 6 semesters. In the placement of the students TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini is this company that will be coming. The highest package of the college is 2000000 per anum. An average package is 3.5 lack per anum. The percentage of the placement is above 75%.
Maximum numbers of students were placed by placements provided in 3rd and last year. Near about 70-80% of students are getting placed each year. Not only placement is provided teachers help students to prepare for each and every aspect. Companies are all MNC
