AVS Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya was set up in the year 1955. At first began with Diploma Course in Ayurveda, later updated with Degree Course and now it is having Post Graduate and Ph.D Courses. Since the commencement the Institutions providing food the requirements of Students and Society. This Institution has 150 had relations with all around prepared Hospital. In excess of 40 Teaching Faculty individuals are serving in this Institution. The Institution feels pleased to have around 2000 alumnis. This Institution is delegated with 48 positions to the University. In June 1955 a gathering of the respects of Ayurveda was called at the motivation of Hon. Shri B.D.Jatti the then Dy. Wellbeing Minister Bombay State. In this gathering the Shuddha Ayurveda Vidyalaya Samiti came to fruition to give training and treat patients as per Ayurvedic System.The samiti is enrolled under the Bombay Public Trust act 1950 and our Reg No. is E.78(BJP) 15-11-58 and additionally enlisted under the Societies Registration Act 1860 No. is Mys/59/(BJP) 9-8-1957.The Samiti made a modest start with a participation of 10.The name of the Institution was changed to Ayurveda Mahavidyalaya in the year 1961. In the year 1956 so as to give offices to understudies to confer instruction in clinical subjects a Hospital was begun appended to the Vidyalaya with 12 Beds and an Out Patient Department. It was announced open by Hon. Shri Shantilal Shaha the then Minister of Health. An award of Rs. 50,000/ - was given by Central Government in 1961 to prepare Anatomy, Physiology, Pathology and Preventive Medicines. Then we encountered incredible challenges in pleasing our selves in our leased structures thus endeavors were begun to verify an appropriate Government site for our structure. With incredible endeavors we are happy to state that we have had the option to verify 91,526 Sq.yards for play grounded 15 sections of land with the end goal of our Institutions.
