Established in the year 1995 under the auspices of SNDP Yogam, the college is named after R.Sankar, the former Chief Minister of Kerala and the founder secretary of SN Trust. The nomenclature also highlights the name of the greatest seer, visionary and social reformer of Kerala, Sree Narayana Guru [1854-1928] who is also the patron sage of SN institutions.
The college which is affiliated to University of Calicut offers graduation and post graduation courses in Arts, Science and Commerce. Since 2004, the college functions in its own building at Kunnyoramala, near Kollam in the Calicut district of Kerala. The college feels very proud to be the ambassador of knowledge and wisdom that has initiated and moulded many of its students during the span of 28 years.

No,Our college does nit support internship.Consodering job oppertunities,it is not that much big field for job scopes.But, the one studies properly will surely be grafuated and will get a nice job.Main area of profession is teaching after graduation.In my college they conduct some kind of job fest but in that one i dont think so it worked properly.there is no internship in our college.so that there is no stipend also. But as the cource has the wide oppurtunity.Talking about placement our college does not provide placement and job opportunities. And college not giving any type of stipends to the student. My overall experience was iam not satisfied with my college.As far it is an Science College it should not provide Placement it mostly focused on its academics and If you completed your course with desirable Grade you could Your higher studies , The certificate of the college Approved by Any university in the World as far as it is affiliated With University of Calicut.This college does not provides any internship or placement. As it is only self financing college under calicut university like all other colleges sasc had no placement cell. Only practical session we get is the project did in 6th semester.No they could providing such programs they only make money through us and suprant was extra ordinary fool and he could not know any thing about college process so couldn’t satisfied by there services.
