Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital came into existence at Solan, in the year 2002 with the objective of providing comprehensive health care, medical education and thus attaining wellness of the people of Himachal Pradesh and adjoining states.Students from across the length and breadth of India are on our rolls, including Mizoram, Manipur, Arunachal Pradesh, Meghalaya, UP, Uttrakhand, Rajasthan, Gujarat, Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, J&K and Himachal Pradesh.Ragging Free CampusThe college adopts zero tolerance to ragging as per directions from Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. Ragging is criminal offence and lowers the standards of education. The ‘anti ragging policy’ adopted by institution takes care of preventive, procedural and punitive aspects of ragging based on the guidelines provided by Hon’ble Supreme court of India, recommendations of the Raghvan Committee,instructions/guidelines issued by the UGC, ministry of HRD (Govt. of India) and Govt. of Himachal Pradesh. From time to time our doctors are invited by Doordarshan, Shimla as Homoeopathic experts in their AYUSH / SWASTH BHARAT programme, a live phone-in talk show on TV discussing a specific topic on diseases and their management by Homoeopathy.Solan Homoeopathic Medical College & Hospital is marching ahead with zeal and enthusiasm to impart Quality Homoeopathic Medical education to the students and also serving the ailing humanity at grass-root level to alleviate the sufferings of mankind by providing safe yet economic Homoeopathic treatment and health counseling to the people of Himachal Pradesh and adjoining states as well.

Computer Laboratory
Considering today's need for computerization, our College is proud to have all the infrastructure facilities in certain faculties such as Commerce, Geography and Mathematics. These departments have their own computer laboratories with modern equipment and necessary software (Microsoft Office, Mathematica, Matlab, Latex, C++ software, etc.) to meet the needs of students. In addition, the library also has an e resource center, which provides access to e resources among other things.
Library
Shahid Bhagat Singh College has a fully computerized barcode library. The library has a computer lending system with barcodes. We have two computers dedicated to OPAC (Online Public Access Catalog) book searches. This collection is enriched by his over 86,796 books on various research fields. The library also subscribes to over 100 of his periodicals in various fields (national and international, specifically Harvard Business Review, The Economist, etc.). The library also has a small computer lab for accessing electronic resources subscribed to by the College of Delhi through the College's intranet and the Internet. The Library also holds orientation programs from time to time and provides orientation in electronic resources for accessing bibliographic databases and full text databases available through the College's intranet and the INFLIBNET Consortium and Information Literacy Program. Students are encouraged to inquire about various library services with Dr. Puja Anand Gulati, Librarian.
Canteen
The College campus has a spacious and well ventilated canteen building with ample seating, separate from the academic blocks. We provide students and faculty with a variety of snacks, food, tea, coffee, and other beverages at low prices. The canteen committee monitors food quality, care and hygiene. A proposal to renovate the cafeteria was recently approved by the Building Committee and Board of Directors.
Seminar Rooms
The College has two seminar rooms equipped with state of the art equipment. The College organizes seminars, workshops and lectures with the active participation of students and teachers. Prominent scientists and experts from academic and business organizations are invited to interact with students and give lectures.
