Bapatla Engineering College (Autonomous) was set up in the year 1981 with an all out admission of 180 understudies in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering and Electronics and Communications Engineering branches. The school was at first associated to ANDHRA UNIVERSITY and later to Nagarjuna University from 1984 onwards. An extra segment with an admission of 60 in Mechanical Engineering branch was endorsed in 1987. Directly the school offers 8 B.Tech Degree Courses with an admission of 1140. Extra 20% admission is through parallel entrance into second year. The school additionally offers 5 M.Tech Courses in Engineering with an absolute admission of 108 and 6 P.G Courses in sciences and Masters in Computer Applications with an all out admission of 270. From the scholarly year 2009-2010, the Polytechnic course is being offered in the second move with an all out admission of 240.
